Keeping Up with the Job - Control Diabetes for Life Invitation to Host a Site

The successful statewide project of “Control Diabetes for Life” will air its last session March, 2017.

Viewing of the program is: Wednesday - March 29. The two-hour program will be available via DVD ordered from UNL Ed Media (Mike Kamm). It is suggested that you show the DVD beginning at 1:30 p.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. This will include a meet-me-bridge call-in for questions and answers. Hosts are encouraged to team with local hospital staff for the question and answer portions of the program. This will give local ownership to the program, build local collaborations and stretch professional time and effort.

If you wish to preview the program to get a better idea of what is offered go to http://food.unl.edu/control-diabetes-life. If you plan to host the March 29 program please contact Debra Schroeder at dschredoer1@unl.edu so that you can be added to the listserv for the promotional materials and handouts for the session. All sessions are stand alone programs addressing different topics related to diabetes.

For more information on Control Diabetes programs and what is involved in hosting the series please contact Debra Schroeder.

The American Diabetes Association reports that today nearly 30 million children and adults in the United State have diabetes. Every 23 seconds another individual is diagnosed, making diabetes one of the fastest growing diseases in America. Based on these alarming figures you are encouraged to host a group to view the materials posted at http://www.food.unl.,edu/control-diabetes-life.
