New:
Heather DePra – Extension Educator – Central IV Counties
Heather earned her B.S. in Animal Science in 2002 and her M.S. in Animal Science, Ruminant Nutrition in 2004 both from Oklahoma State University. Heather has spent five years in Iowa and Nebraska, working as a sales representative for Elanco Animal Health, in their cattle business unit. She also worked three years for the National Ag Statistics Service (NASS), as an agricultural statistician in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Heather’s position responsibilities are adult and youth agricultural education based in the Central IV Counties (Valley, Sherman, Greeley, and Howard).
Kayla Colgrove – Extension Educator – Gage County
Kayla earned her B.S. in Nutritional Science & Dietetics in 2008, and her M.S. in Nutrition and Health Sciences with a specialization in Nutrition and Exercise in 2011, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kayla has worked as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant, a group fitness instructor, and a personal trainer for UNL's Campus Recreation. Kayla’s current responsibilities are to provide research based educational programming and leadership for adults and youth in nutrition, food, and health. Kayla threw the javelin for UNL's Track and Field team. She is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Kayla is working towards becoming a Registered Dietitian.
