Congratulations!
John Wilson continues to provide excellent leadership for our Crops Flood team involving ISU and UNL faculty. His team is planning a second webinar in mid-December that will focus on USDA and other federal assistance for recovery as well as highlighting the efforts of a few farmers to return their cropland to production. John and farmer Scott Olson recently testified before House and Senate sub-committees on the impacts of Missouri River flooding on crop production in the river valley. During the briefing, Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (NE-1), a member of the Congressional Soils Caucus, stated, "Scott and John are acutely aware of the economic impacts of the flooding and I appreciate that they took the time to visit D.C. to share their experience with members and staff here." More information about their visit can be found at https://www.soils.org/news-media/releases/2011/1102/522/
Congratulations to John for this recognition from Congressman Fortenberry.
