Every day, volunteers reliably provide essential support in their communities. The ServeNebraska Step Forward Awards recognize these outstanding people and groups for their time and service. Award winners and finalists are selected by the governor in tribute to the significant contributions made within the state through volunteerism. Finalists will be invited to the awards luncheon on October 26 at Quarry Oaks in Ashland.

People or groups may be nominated in one of ten categories:
- Adult Volunteer
- Youth Volunteer Leadership
- Senior Volunteer
- Volunteer Group,
- Corporate Community Volunteer
- National Service
- Veteran Volunteer
- Disaster Volunteer
- Community Media Partner, and
- Lifetime Achievement

Nebraska Extension relies on many volunteers to meet our mission. Consider nominating an individual or a group today! The deadline for nominations is August 27.
