Extension Climate Workshop and USDA Partner In-Service - August 20-21, 2018, Kearney, NE

You are invited to attend an upcoming opportunity to learn more about applying climate science in your Extension work and collaborate and network with USDA agencies.

This joint event is split into two days:
Day 1 – Climate Applications for Extension
Day 2 – USDA & Extension Partner In-Service.

Day 1 -- August 20th, is focused primarily on climate and weather applications for you. This is geared towards those who work with agricultural producers, horticulture, or communities, but will provide a wide-array of climate applications useful to almost anyone in Extension.

Day 2 -- August 21st, is focused on collaborating and networking with a number of USDA agencies in Nebraska and going through weather-event case studies to enhance our clientele’s ability to respond to certain events. This is an opportunity to learn from our USDA partners and share about Extension.

Faculty are invited to attend one day or both days. We have funding available to cover some (most likely all) travel and lodging expenses, based on the number of attendees who register by July 20th. We can let you know if funds get limited. You can register at https://go.unl.edu/learnclimate or https://weather-ready.unl.edu/
