Nebraska Extension and UNL’s Office of Emergency Preparedness and Planning are proud to recognize two additional county Extension offices for their efforts to complete emergency action plans:

-Dawson County
-Lincoln-Logan-McPherson Counties

By going through the emergency action plan process, these counties identified shelter-in-place locations, outlined evacuation procedures, created office maps, and compiled staff contact lists. These offices join the counties who have already completed emergency action plans: Antelope, Burt, Cedar, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Fillmore, Hall, Knox, Lancaster, Nuckolls, Otoe, Platte, Stanton, Thayer, and Thurston.

It’s not too late! Emergency action plans are still being accepted. All county offices are encouraged to put together a local plan. The template is available for download here: https://unl.box.com/s/tbjqc56uh20inaaja0u7qn1rl8xealb4
