Professor Frans von der Dunk coordinated and co-chaired the annual European Centre of Space Law (ECSL) Practitioners' Forum in Paris, France. The theme of the forum was "Space Governance in Europe: Regulation of Space Activities", and revolved around the respective roles of the European Union, ESA and their members states in regulating space activities and major space applications in Europe.
Additionally, Professor von der Dunk presented two Master Classes at the University of Rome. The first class, presented to students in the masters program for space policy and law, was titled, "The sky is the limit - Commercial spaceflight and the law." The second, presented to doctoral students of public, administrative and international law, was titled, "A Tale of Two Oceans: Governance of Terrestrial and Outer Space Global Commons."
