Professor Anna Shavers has been appointed to the American Bar Association Task Force on International Trade in Legal Services. The primary purpose of the Task Force is to: monitor onging tade negotiations and other initiatives that impact trade in legal services; inform and educate ABA members and state regulators about legal services trade issues and their implications for the regulation and practice of law in the U.S. and abroad; and regularly communicate with Office of U.S. Trades representatives and the Department of Commerce regarding legal services. Shavers's appointment will conclude at the 2016 ABA annual meeting in August.
