As members of the Class of 2015, you will be the first to take the newly created Foundational Legal Skills (FLS) course. In this year-long course, you will develop your legal research, writing and oral advocacy skills. But becoming a lawyer involves much more than learning legal rules and legal styles of communication. FLS will help you learn what it means to be a member of the legal profession. You will continue to discuss professional and ethical obligations - a discussion that will begin during Orientation. And you will have a chance to explore the many career opportunities that a J.D. degree makes possible.
