Mel Shinn Day

Mel Shinn Day is Friday, September 14th.
This is a day in which the law school community celebrates the legacy of Mel Shinn (Class of 1966). His untimely passing led his classmates to create a day full of friendly competition, fun, and camaraderie. Mel Shinn Day celebrations include a 5K run, tennis, dodge ball, basketball, and bowling.

Cost to participate in the SBA Mel Shinn Day events is $12 for SBA members and $15 for non-members. This price includes a t-shirt and admission to all events. Sign up from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Mel Shinn Day table in the student lounge.

The College of Law library staff also celebrates the day with a miniature golf course set up throughout the library and the Dean’s Office hosts Badminton and Bocce Ball tournaments as well as the free all school picnic.

We hope to see you all Friday when we celebrate our tradition of Mel Shinn Day.
