Help spread holiday cheer with the annual Angel Tree Christmas program, a service project of the Christian Legal Society.
Angel Tree Christmas reconnects incarcerated parents with their children by providing modest gifts to children who otherwise may receive nothing during the holiday season.
To participate in this program, all you need to do is grab an Angel Tree tag from the Christmas tree in the student lounge, purchase a present that fits the gift description on the tag, and place the gift under the Christmas tree. The national Angel Tree organization suggests a gift price range of $15 to $25, so even those with meager financial resources are able to contribute.
Members of Christian Legal Society will wrap the presents and deliver them to the children. If you would like to lend an extra set of hands to the gift-wrapping or delivery process, please contact Kyle Petersen at nebraska.kyle@gmail.com. Commuters from the Omaha area would provide great assistance in the delivery phase, because the vast majority of the children assigned to Christian Legal Society this year reside in Omaha.
Thank you in advance for your help and support in making this another successful year for the Angel Tree Christmas program. Your efforts will ensure that the child of an incarcerated individual knows that somebody is thinking about him or her during this holiday season.
