Greetings from the Admissions office at the University of Nebraska College of Law! As you consider your law school options, I am certain that your ability to get a job post-graduation is something that you consider. And, you should!

I am pleased to report to you that our Career Services Office just submitted its ABA Employment Summary for 2012 Graduates. The Class of 2012 reported that 87% of its members obtained JD-required or JD-preferred jobs within 9 months of graduation. This reflects a 9% increase from the College of Law’s previous year's statistics and is significantly higher than 73%* reported nationally for the class of 2011.

This increase likely indicates an economy that is recovering, but it also is a reflection on the value of a law degree from the University of Nebraska. Employers value the preparedness and work ethic they find in Nebraska Law graduates, and that translates to jobs.
