Yes, We’re Closed July 4!
(In case you missed it, it’s a holiday and you should be home celebrating, not studying anyway.)

Pardon our Mess
In order to make room for new materials, we are shifting the collection on the first floor of the library. In the end, nearly every book on the first floor will be moved, at least slightly. For the most part, almost none of the materials will be shelved in a new sequence, materials are simply being shifted to make room for new materials. During the shift you are likely to see librarians and library staff members loading books onto book trucks and off loading them to their new locations. When completed, the stack signage will be updated to reflect the materials’ new locations.

Lexis and Bloomberg Summer Usage
Both Lexis and Bloomberg Law have both changed their policies regarding student usage over the summer. They no longer restrict usage to schoolwork only and encourage you to use their systems in your summer clerkships, internships or externships. Westlaw still requires you to use their service only for academic purposes. Of course, there is no such restriction on your use of reference services at the Schmid Law Library. Call us (402-472-3547) or drop by any time you need reference assistance. We are here to help you!

Student Printing
We are upgrading our software and hardware in the printing lab. As a result, students will not be required to pay for print jobs beyond their allocated amounts. If, however, you encounter a notice that you have reached your printing limit, simply see Chris or Bob in IT and they will be able to increase your allotment. We expect to have the new software up and running by the time school starts and the new system will allow printing from Google Chromebooks and be easier to manage.
