Networking Reception
4:30 – 5:30
How much can you get out of one afternoon? This fall break you have the chance to find out!
The CSO and Alumni Relations are coming together to bring a nationally known speaker and lawyer coach, Cordell Parvin, to campus. Cordell Parvin is a well-known lawyer coach, mentor, and inspirational speaker. He is best known for his work with law firms, both in the U.S. and Canada, in the area of client development or “rainmaking.” However, he will be gearing his remarks on October 20th directly toward you and your classmates. The focus of the keynote will depend in part on you. As part of your registration, you will be asked to identify areas you would like to learn more about. Whether it is professionalism, successful job search methods, finding a mentor, or the the secrets to starting a successful legal career, the presentation’s content will reflect you and your classmates’ stated preferences.
We are also excited about offering mentoring sessions which we hope will be even more responsive to your individual needs. We will be working to match attendees with practitioners for information sessions that will specifically help you along your career path. The end of the day Networking Reception will be yet another opportunity to connect with our key note speaker and other Nebraska attorneys.
Whether you have already accepted a post-graduate job or you have yet to begin the search, this is an afternoon not to miss.
