Through our innovative curriculum, Nebraska Law prepares students to get the jobs they desire and succeed in those positions. 82.2% of Nebraska Law’s Class of 2013 were employed in JD preferred or required positions at 9 months post-graduation– approximately 4 percentage points above the national average.

To ensure Nebraska Law students have a competitive edge, Nebraska law has expanded the curriculum over the past several years. We have extensive offerings in International Law, Patent & Intellectual Property Law, Human Rights, Immigration, Space Cyber & Telecommunications Law, and Agriculture and Environmental Law, in addition to the more “traditional” areas including Constitutional Law, Litigation, Tax, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Business Law. Through our four clinics and externship programs, our students gain valuable practical experience that helps them hit the ground running upon graduation. In fact, our Entrepreneurship Clinic and first-year, required course in International Law were both recognized by PreLaw Magazine as two of the Top 25 Most Innovative Law School Programs in 2013-2014.

For students interested in two graduate degrees we offer 8 different joint degree programs. Our established joint programs are in Psychology, Business, Accounting, Journalism, Community & Regional Planning, Public Health, Gerontology, and Political Science. If a student is interested in a Masters in any other area, we will work with him or her to create a special joint degree program.
