Winter weather is here and Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) urges you to gather up warm clothing items to donate to the People's City Mission. Please consider donating new and used coats, hats, gloves, boots, and all other cold weather apparel items.
The Mission reports that they serve over 32,000 people per year. They will distribute your donated items directly to these people in need. If the donated items are not distributable for whatever reason, the Mission will recycle the items. The Mission is then able to use the proceeds from the recycling to continue to serve the community.
Collection boxes will be available near the front entrance and other locations around the school. The drive will run from Monday, November 24, 2014 through December 5, 2014. This gives you time to raid your parents’ and other family members’ houses for items to donate over Thanksgiving break.
