Careers in Tax Law
Wednesday, March 16 from 12:00-1:00pm in the Courtroom
Join Professor Robert R. Wootton of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law for a discussion of the wide variety of career opportunities in tax, ranging from private practice in law or accounting firms, to government service with the IRS or the Justice Department, and even to academia. Professor Wootton was the Tax Legislative Counsel of the U.S. Treasury Department and practiced tax law in the Sidley Austin law firm in Chicago and Washington D.C. for over 25 years. He now teaches in the LLM Tax Program at Northwestern Pritzker Law. His presentation will be especially valuable for any student who is considering an LLM in tax, whether at Northwestern or elsewhere. 1Ls, 2Ls and 3Ls are all encouraged to attend.

The Berry Law Firm located near the law college on North 48th St. is hosting its annual St. Patrick’s Day Part this Thursday, March 17th. The firm has provided a number of tickets for students interested in attending. The CDO will hand them out on a first come first served basis.
