Canned Immunity

Canned Immunity is an event the SBA sponsors on behalf of the College of Law every year in an effort to support the Food Bank of Lincoln and our community in the fight against hunger. As an ongoing tradition, there will be a contest between the 1L's, 2L's, 3L's and faculty, as to which group can collect the most canned food items to donate.
If you are a 1L and your professor participates, you may be immune from the “Socratic Method” by presenting a can for the food bank. However, professors may negate your donation by also contributing a can. To ensure immunity, come prepared with multiple cans. Canned Immunity is the week immediately before your Open Memo is due. This is a great opportunity for you to “catch a break” and support a wonderful cause.
