Every year our collection experts at the University Libraries review the usage numbers of some of our most expensive resources we provide to Nebraska faculty, researchers, and students. This review helps us better understand how we can improve the way we communicate information about these resources and to determine what needs to be replaced by a more in-demand resource.
When reviewing our use statistics from 2023 we discovered eBook titles were accessed over 60,000 times, electronic journal titles were accessed over 1.5 million times, and the databases we license were used over 800,000 times.
Print materials are still important and while their numbers are not as large as the digital materials in the Libraries collections, 24,463 items were checked out.
These numbers are impressive, but what is behind these numbers? We thought we’d highlight some of the top ten lists from our collection and the fun discoveries of what you use from the Libraries.
