Walk down memory lane with the Archives & Special Collections Husker History 2025 event, “Campus Memories in Motion,” October 2, 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the lower level of Love Library South. This event is part of Homecoming festivities.
“At this event, we will celebrate stories from the UNL archives and show how these memories can be put into motion through research, teaching, and exploration with archival materials,” said Melanie Griffin, chair, Archives & Special Collections.
Featured items on display include:
o Poetry from rare book collections alongside the records of literary societies and journals from UNL
o Artists’ books and journals, including examples by UNL alum and Pulitzer Prize winner Karen Blessen and Ted Kooser, U.S. Poet Laureate 2004-2006
o Photographic depictions of Lincoln and campus past and present
Attendees will have the opportunity to share their own memories of campus by contributing to a collaborative, crowd-sourced art journal that will be created at the event and preserved by the UNL Archives.
All are welcome at this free event, RSVPs are requested. Refreshments will be served. The faculty and staff of Archives & Special Collections are excited to host this event for the second time during Homecoming.
