The HR Leadership Webinar Series is free for employees of local public agencies and NDOT. Each session is $75 for contractors and consultants. Information about each session and a link to register follow.

NE LTAP has contracted with Zelle to offer a three-part HR Leadership Webinar Series beginning March 18. These three webinars focus on their three most requested topics: Emotional Intelligence, Critical Conversations and Conflict Management, and Customer Service. Join us!

March 18th 2021 8:30am – 10:30am CT/7:30am - 9:30am MT
Session 1: Emotional Intelligence 101
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is one of the most important factors that contribute to your success. EQ is defined as your ability to recognize and understand your emotions, the emotions of those around you, and your ability to use this awareness to manage your behavior and relationships with other people. Here’s the good news…you can increase your emotional intelligence! In this session, participants will learn the basics of EQ and commit to strategies to improve their EQ.

Session 2: Critical Conversations & Conflict Management
Communication is a critical piece of any relationship. Providing accolades is easy to do, however, giving employees feedback on how they can improve their performance, managing conflict, or delivering “bad news” can be a challenge. Naturally, as humans we tend to avoid conflict.

We will explore how conversations set a tone for our relationships and culture. We will focus on how to have critical conversations with employees, peers, and customers in the workplace. We will discuss common obstacles that get in our way, how to effectively express courage, transparency, and honesty in all conversations, align intention with desired outcomes, and utilize emotional intelligence.

Session 3: Customer Service
Excellent customer service is one of the most critical components of any business. In this training, we will cover:
Internal vs. External Customer Service
Handling difficult Customer Scenarios
Communication Styles
Participants will leave this session with tools and actionable items to enhance their ability to provide an excellent customer experience.
