Happy Holidays from LTAP! We would like to thank you for the work you do throughout the year! Thanks to our sponsors as well (NDOT & FHWA), along with the University, who make our program possible. Since this is the season for resolutions, consider a professional resolution to reach out to other disciplines and departments near you, remembering that those partnerships are vital to achieving our highway safety goals. Great relationships with other groups can make your work more effective and efficient. In other words, they can help us do our job. If you consider many of the recent initiatives and programs that we promote throughout the year, it’s clear that a modern road department cannot be isolated. They are a piece of the puzzle that is ensuring public safety and operating public infrastructure. It may help you to reach out to others by inviting them to our Road Safety Champion webinars. This series attempts to review and introduce basic highway safety subjects and bring folks from every level to the table. Teaming up with other relevant organizations to discuss these topics can have a huge impact. So, again, please think about being a Road Safety Champion, and invite your friends! More information is on our website.
