Research Solicitation
Statements of need can be submitted throughout the year but are formally requested starting in July. The statements of need are due to Research Section staff by September. Ideas may be submitted by the general public, cities, counties, consultants, suppliers, contractors, universities, FHWA and within Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Nebraska Transportation Research Council (NTRC) meets in October to evaluate the statements of need and prioritize which statements of need will move into the proposal phase.
