Join the CAS Student Ambassadors!
From NOW until Wednesday, October 30th, the CAS Student Ambassador application will open at https://cas.unl.edu/cas-get-involved. This is a great opportunity for freshmen, sophomore, and junior students to get involved!
CAS Student Ambassadors represent the college, work with the Dean's Office, plan college-wide events, and help shape college initiatives. They promote pride in and develop awareness of the college's academic programs and activities with prospective students, parents, alumni, and the general public. They also volunteer at Husker Weekdays, CAS Fall Kickoff, and departmental events such as Math Day.

Right now, here are the numbers of students in my majors who are CAS Student Ambassadors:
Data Science: Zero
Geology: Zero
Mathematics: One
Meteorology-Climatology: One (who is graduating in May)
The College needs representation from my majors, so please consider applying to be a CAS Student Ambassador. This is a great opportunity to work on your public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. It will give you an opportunity to represent your major to the College. It also looks great on a résumé!
