Where are you from?
Bellevue, Nebraska
What gets you excited about Math?
I like drawing upon my previous math knowledge and connecting it to new topics/areas of math. I also really enjoy writing proofs, especially when I have an "aha" moment and everything falls into place. I don't know, I've always found math quite fun!
Favorite math class or instructor so far? Why?
Number Theory was great! It was so different than any other math class I've taken. I liked the instructor (shoutout to Jack Jeffries!), the method of teaching, and the course content.
What are you excited about doing after graduation?
After I graduate, I'm heading straight to graduate school for math education.
What is a goal you have accomplished as a Husker?
I've managed to stay on track for both of my majors, and I haven't dropped out of the Honors program either!
What do you wish you would have known when you started as a Math Major that you know now?
The math faculty are all really nice and always willing to help you out if you ask. Also, that going to office hours isn't nearly as intimidating as I thought it would be.
What do you hope to cross off your “bucket list” in the next few years?
The furthest west I've ever traveled is Denver, so I would love to see the west coast and the Pacific Ocean.
