New Minor in Racial Justice, Equity, & Inclusion

The Institute for Ethnic Studies is very excited to announce a new minor in Racial Justice, Equity, and Inclusion designed for all students curious about racial justice. The new minor will become available in Fall 2021, and it will be open to all students regardless of major or catalog year.

The new minor in Racial Justice, Equity, and Inclusion furnishes students with an academic credential in diversity, equity, and inclusion training that prepares them for success in corporate, government, and nonprofit fields. Students will gain knowledge proficiency about the history, politics, and culture of key racial and ethnic groups, including African Americans, Asian Americans, Latinx Americans, and Native Americans. They will develop ease and confidence in having difficult conversations about race, privilege, and cultural difference, as well as the ability to research, write, and speak about racial and ethnic issues in an evidence-based, clear, logically sound, and persuasive way.
