WxChallenge Forecasting Competition
During the 2021-22 academic year UNL is again participating in WxChallenge, a North American forecasting competition.
You're encouraged to participate if you would like experience forecasting for a variety of sites and would like to test your forecasting ability against students and faculty from most universities with weather programs in the U.S. and Canada. This is also a good experience if you may have interest in forecasting as a career.
You can participate for just one semester (fall or spring; 5 sites each, $3 registration per semester), or for the entire year (10 sites, $5 registration total). Forecasting begins on 27 September.
Registration is online (https://www.wxchallenge.com/registration.php); you will need UNL's registration key: rI4KhAxTk.
Your registration fee can be given to Dr. Van Den Broeke, UNL WxChallenge Local Manager, (mvandenbroeke2@unl.edu; 306 Bessey Hall). Please direct any questions to Dr. Van Den Broeke as well.
Please have your registration completed and your fee paid by 2200 UTC (5 PM) on 24 September.
