Undergraduate Research Assistants Needed (PAID Positions within EAS)

Dr. Kopacz is looking to hire two undergraduate assistants to serve as research assistants for the following research project (funded through UNL’s CAS Spark Grant): Case Studies in Atmospheric Science Classrooms: Strategies Instructors Use and Directions for Future Research. The goal of this project is to quantify and categorize the various ways that case studies are implemented in atmospheric science classrooms (e.g., passive versus active learning).

The work will take place at UNL during the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters. Approximately 120 hours of work is expected during the project period (Fall 2022 – Spring 2023). Work will include training in human subjects research, classroom observation protocol training, conducting classroom observations (data collection), student interviews, and data analysis. No prior research experience is necessary. Work will be compensated at $12/hour.
