Graduate Fellowship for STEM Students

Hello,

My name is Amy Kim and I am the Executive Director of Graduate Fellowships for STEM Diversity. We are a US based nonprofit organization that offers graduate fellowships for students pursuing a graduate degree in science and engineering. We have a strong focus on improving representation of female and underrepresented minority graduate students in Ph.D. programs.

We are looking for seniors in undergraduate programs looking to pursue a graduate degree as well as first-, second-, and third-year graduate students in broad areas of STEM (mathematics, chemistry, computer science, data science, physics, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, biomedical engineering and much more!). Students in these fields who might be interested in receiving a fellowship ($20K in stipend) and an opportunity to do a paid internship at national laboratories like NSA or NIST should strongly consider applying. They can also reach out to us directly with any questions (gfsd@stemfellowships.org). Strong experience and interest in conducting hands-on research is just as important as strong academics. It is completely free to apply, and applications are due December 15, 2022. You can find more information regarding the application process here. Please also see this one-page flier.

I would also like to add that if any of your students are interested in learning more about specific research areas listed below, please do indicate that in their application materials. Some of our partners are looking for interns in these specific research areas:

• Remote sensing technology
• Microfluidics
• Additive manufacturing
• Image processing
• Machine learning
• Condensed matter physics

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Best,
Amy Kim
