Hello Meteorology-Climatology Majors,
Welcome to the full Spring 2024 semester! To our new students, welcome to UNL, the College of Art and Sciences, and the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences! To our returning students, welcome back, and I hope that you enjoyed your break!
The first week or two of classes are a busy time, so please be patient if with any delays in my responses to emails. I still have plenty of meeting times available for the remainder of this week, so I would recommend scheduling a meeting rather than sending an email depending on the number and kinds of questions that you have. To schedule a meeting, please see the information below for instructions and my availability.
The early part of the spring semester is an important time. Besides the start of classes and settling into your overall schedule, there are a lot of deadlines for things like scholarship applications, REU programs, and summer internships. I will do my best to remind you about deadlines and provide you with information about opportunities in this newsletter.
Newsletter Feedback
If you ever have questions or feedback about anything in the weekly newsletter, please let me know by shooting me an email. Sometimes, it is difficult for me to know if these emails are actually being read and/or found useful.
Best wishes, Doug
