High Plains AMS/NWA Conference

The High Plains Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) / National Weather Association (NWA) will be holding a regional conference in North Platte, Nebraska Thursday February 29th through March 1st, 2024. The conference will be held all day on Thursday, Feb 29th with a banquet that evening. The conference is to continue into the morning of March 1st, but may be shortened to just February 29th depending on the number of abstracts received.

Student registration is only $35 and registration is free to all student presenters. There is also a student presenters competition with up to $300 to be awarded to our top student presenters. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible as long as they are enrolled in the current spring 2024 semester.

For those interested in presenting please send abstracts by February 1st to: John Stoppkote (Science and Operations Officer, NWS North Platte) at john.stoppkotte@noaa.gov. Titles and one to two paragraph abstracts should include each author's name and affiliation, the corresponding author's complete address, telephone number, and email address.
