2nd Annual Flexible Array of Radars and Mesonets (FARM) Facility Radar Institute

Hosted by the University of Illinois, CLIMAS and held in-person in Boulder, Colorado, at the FARM HQ from July 8 – July 19, 2024, the 2nd Annual Flexible Array of Radars and Mesonets (FARM) Facility Radar Institute is a 12-day experience focusing on radar meteorology, field work, and data analysis/interpretation.

At the institute, you will:
- Learn about radar operations and theory
- Learn from a wide variety of leading experts
- Learn about planning field campaigns
- Learn about observation strategies
- Plan and execute a small field campaign using FARM COW and DOW radars, Pods, Poles, Mesonets, and other instruments
- Learn about analysis techniques
- Analyze data that you’ve collected

Eligibility:
It is open to students that have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate course work and are majoring in meteorology/atmospheric science, or any other science, engineering, technology, or math field. Students who are graduating this year also are encouraged to apply.
