What are the general duties?
Field work (during the cropping season):
* General maintenance of plots-weeding, watering, scouting
* Data collection-soil/plant samples, stand counts, disease ratings
* Chemical application-fungicides, herbicides, bactericides
* Lab work:
* Soil processing for nematode extraction
* Data entry & summarization
* Pathogen culturing & media preparation
Greenhouse work:
* Plant and water corn/soybean plants
* Data & sample collection

What are the qualifications?
Strong work ethic
* Dependable and hard working
* Efficient and detail oriented
* Strong communication skills
* Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
* Valid driver’s license & ability to get yourself to East Campus
* Ability to work both independently and as part of our research team
* No prior knowledge of lab work or crop care required, training will be provided
