The winners of the 2nd Annual UNL Microbiology Research Symposium were Mr. Matthew Perry, School of Biological Sciences, Graduate Poster Presentation Award Titled: "Rhizosphere collection method to identify low abundant taxa within the rhizobiome" and Ms. Sukaina Al-Hamedi, Biochemistry, Undergraduate Poster Presentation Award Titled: "Optimization of two peroxidase activity assays to determine pro-inflammatory activities of innate immune cell populations".

This will be the final meeting of the semester. It is scheduled Nov. 28th from 7-8 PM in Beadle N263. The club will be listening to a microbe.tv podcast and will have materials and microbiology-themed coloring sheets for anyone who wants to color as well.
