An investment in tomorrow
The Space Life Sciences Training Program (SLSTP) provides undergraduate students entering their junior or senior years, and entering graduate students, with professional experience in space life science disciplines. This challenging ten-week summer program is held at NASA’s Ames Research Center in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley. The primary goal of the program is to train the next generation of scientists and engineers, enabling NASA to meet future research and development challenges in the space life sciences. To ensure students have reliable internet access while away from campus, Nebraska Information Technology Services has 1,000 mobile wi-fi hotspot devices for students to check out before they depart at the conclusion of the fall semester.
The MiFi devices are available on a first-come-first-served basis and there is no charge to students for the device, network connection, or data used. Students can check out a device for the entire time they are away from campus up to the end of the spring semester.

Job description:
Prepares testing and support materials and samples. Operates and maintains specialized
equipment and laboratory instruments. Ensures availability and cleanliness of lab
equipment/supplies. Conducts tests and experiments following prescribed methods and procedures

Food and shelter insecurities are an unfortunate reality for students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and nationwide. Nearly 1 in 3 students on our campus worries about not having enough food until they get money to buy more.
Husker Pantry, located on the 1st floor of the University Health Center (room 123), provides a one-stop location to assist students. Information about community resources for housing and other food assistance programs is also available.

Kirk McManus holds clothing items he's collected for his monthly drives for the People's City Mission. The project is inspired by McManus' childhood, which included helping his parents get out of a debt rut.
