Congratulations, Poster Presenter Award Winners!

The winners of the 2nd Annual UNL Microbiology Research Symposium were Mr. Matthew Perry, School of Biological Sciences, Graduate Poster Presentation Award Titled: "Rhizosphere collection method to identify low abundant taxa within the rhizobiome" and Ms. Sukaina Al-Hamedi, Biochemistry, Undergraduate Poster Presentation Award Titled: "Optimization of two peroxidase activity assays to determine pro-inflammatory activities of innate immune cell populations".

UNL MBIO Club Meeting - Monday, Nov 28th

This will be the final meeting of the semester. It is scheduled Nov. 28th from 7-8 PM in Beadle N263. The club will be listening to a microbe.tv podcast and will have materials and microbiology-themed coloring sheets for anyone who wants to color as well.

Students may apply for up to $1500 of funding that enables their participation in an internship or research opportunity. Pre-Health SHPEP Opportunity DEADLINE FEB 5

Winter break is a great time to work on applications to special summer programs like the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP). It has been a wonderful pre-health experience for attendees.
