Audition Workshop for Harpists; Masterclass with Elizabeth Richter; Introduction to Harp Acoustics

Harp Audition Workshop: Wednesday, September 11 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Westbrook Music Building’s Recital Hall.

Guest harpist Elizabeth Richter and members of the Glenn Korff School of Music faculty will listen to harpists in a mock audition. Following the audition, the panel will lead a discussion focusing on audition preparation and success.

Student harpists are invited to participate in the audition.

Waltz of the Flowers cadenza
Capriccio Espagnol cadenza

Introduction to Harp Acoustics: Thursday, September 12, 6:15-7:00 Westbrook Music Building room 105.
Colorado Research scientist and harpist Joan Fitzpatrick will lead us in this fascinating look into harp acoustics.

Elizabeth Richter Masterclass: Thursday, September 12 from 7:30-9:00 Westbrook Music Building’s Recital Hall.

Harpists are invited to the UNL Glenn Korff School of Music for a masterclass featuring guest harpist Elizabeth Richter.  Richter is known for her musical artistry and for her dedication to teaching and mentoring young harpists.  

Harpists are invited to perform in the masterclass as soloists or with small chamber ensembles. (duos, trios, etc)
