I am writing to inform you about the exclusive ‘invitation-only’ Spring Strings Honors Orchestra to be held at the Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln on February 28-29, 2020. Our special guest conductor is Maestro Kirt Mosier. Internationally known for both his compositions and conducting, Mosier has conducted in many of the world’s greatest concert halls including New York’s Carnegie Hall, Reykjavik Iceland’s Harpa Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein, Salzburg’s Mozarteum, Singapore, Jakarta, South Korea, Thailand and Australia’s famed Sydney Opera House.

The event will include a string orchestra performance with Maestro Mosier, student master classes with UNL’s award winning string faculty: violin soloist David Neely, Lincoln Symphony Principal Violist Clark Potter, violist, cellist with Trio Nuovo and the Concordia String Trio Dr. Karen Becker, and EMI and Innova recording artist Dr. Hans Sturm.

Advanced students who have participated in either an All State or Youth Symphony Orchestra Students are welcome to register directly. As a director or teacher, you may also choose to nominate a student.
