Flyover Performance: WHISPER

The third performance of Flyover New Music’s 2019-2020 season, Many Voices, is Whisper, and will take place on February 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Recital Hall. The evening’s performances vary in instrumentation and subject matter. We will travel as far back as Greek mythology and enjoy a piece with emanations of the cinema. Whispers can be as powerful as exclamations. To this end, the composition studio will form our own diverse ensemble in an entirely improvised group performance, intimately dependent on our subtle communication as one.

The Flyover New Music Series, aka Flyover New Music, is the new music series from the composition studio at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music. Since its founding in 2017, Flyover has presented over 60 new pieces by student composers in the Glenn Korff School of Music, featuring over 40 composers and 130 volunteer performers.

Free and open to the public.

This performance will also be live webcast. Visit music.unl.edu the night of the performance.
