Black History Month Choral Performance

The University Singers and the All-Collegiate Choir combine for a Black History Month Choral Performance at Westminster Presbyterian Church (2110 Sheridan Blvd) on February 25 at 7:30 p.m.

The All-Collegiate Choir will open the night with music that includes Hold On, We Shall Walk Through the Valley in Peace and Take It to the Lord in Prayer. The University Singers close out the night with music including Keep Your Lamps, Amazing Grace and Trouble the Water.

University Singers, directed by Dr. Peter A. Eklund, is UNL’s premiere and historic flagship choral ensemble, presenting the finest and most versatile choral singers in the entire University. This ensemble performs music from the thirteenth century through the present, including works written especially for it.

All-Collegiate Choir is comprised of UNL students as well as singers from the Lincoln area. No audition is required, and non-majors are welcome and encouraged to join. This group performs large-scale works with orchestral, organ, and piano accompaniment, including many popular choral favorites. It also is frequently asked to sing in combination with other choirs on campus and in the community.

Free and open to the public.
