Visiting Guest Artist Golden Lund, Tuba, will host a recital on March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Recital Hall.
This music was chosen from an eclectic range of styles, nationalities, and time periods, to present the many moods music can convey. It also demonstrates the diversity of the tuba to which many listeners are not often exposed to.
Golden Lund resides in the Davenport, IA, area where he is the tuba and euphonium instructor at Augustana College and St. Ambrose University. Prior to his arrival in Davenport he was teaching as a visiting professor of tuba and euphonium at BYU-Idaho. He has three degrees in tuba performance: B.M. from the University of Utah, M.M. from Indiana University, and a D.M.A. from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His studies also include two summers at the Aspen Music Festival and one summer at the Round Top Music Festival.
Free and open to the public.
