The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music has made the tough decision to cancel all of its summer youth camps due to continuing concerns of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The summer camps that were to have taken place on the UNL campus included the Nebraska Show Choir Camp, the Middle School Band Camp and the High School Marching Band Camp.
All of the camps were canceled to ensure the safety of all of the campers and their families during this time.
“I truly regret having to cancel summer music camps. We know that these camps are meaningful to students in their development as performers and musicians, and also in developing friendships that may last a lifetime,” Glenn Korff School of Music Director Dr. Sergio H. Ruiz said. “We look forward to having summer campers back on campus in 2021.”
