Percussion Ensemble plans exciting, eclectic night in Kimball

LINCOLN, Neb.— The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music Percussion Ensemble will present an exciting and eclectic program of chamber works composed within the last 10 years on April 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

Some highlights include Dan Trueman’s futuristic laptop and percussion quartet neither Anvil nor Pulley; The Drums of Winter by Pulitzer Prize winner John Luther Adams; a hi-hat quartet from Julia Wolfe’s Dark Full Ride; and UNL Faculty Artist Dave Hall will join the Graduate Percussion Quartet in a performance of Alejandro Viñao’s Estudios de Frontera.
