UNL Solo Competition winners announced

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Graduate and Undergraduate solo competition took place this past weekend at the Glenn Korff School of Music. The vocal, keyboard, woodwind, string, and brass/percussion areas all select finalists and the final round is adjudicated by a panel of judges from prestigious universities around the country.

Patricia Kramer, voice, was named the Graduate winner with Adriana Ceia, cello, and Adam Schweitzer, timpani, both named honorable mention.

Hannah Bell, clarinet, and Adella Hotchkiss, cello, were named the Undergraduate winners with Jonathan Vusich, piano, and Sarah Wenger, violin, named honorable mention.

This year's judges were Kevin Bobo (Indiana University), Leone Buyse (Rice University) and Charles Castleman (Miami University, formally the Eastman School). The judges also presented clinics, masterclasses, and performances at the Glenn Korff School of Music.
