The exclusive 5th Annual Spring Strings Honors Orchestra will be held at the Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln on February 19-20. Our special guest is Maestro David Barg, the award-winning professional conductor-clincian, who will work with the students on the Shostakovich Chamber Symphony.

The event that will include string orchestra with Maestro Barg and students will perform in master classes with UNL’s award winning string faculty: the members of the GRAMMY Award-nominated Chiara String Quartet, violin soloist David Neely, Lincoln Symphony Principal Violist Clark Potter, cellist with the Trio Nuovo and Concordia String Trio Dr. Karen Becker, and EMI and Innova recording artist Dr. Hans Sturm.
The event is free for participating students and lunch will be provided on both days.
