The UNL Jazz Orchestra and Big Band will kick off the 2016-2017 concert season with an evening of great big band jazz music highlighting events from this upcoming year on Wednesday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall. Selections will include works by Clare Fischer, Thad Jones, Victor Lewis, Anthony Newley and more.
The UNL Jazz Orchestra, directed by Paul Haar, is the university’s showcase jazz ensemble and one of the Glenn Korff School of Music’s most visible performing groups. The UNL Big Band, directed by Jesse McBee, is a vital component of the UNL jazz curriculum.
Tickets are General Admission $5; Student/Seniors $3.
