Evening of Choirs at the Glenn Korff School of Music will take place Thursday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall and includes the All-Collegiate Choir, the University Chorale and the Varsity Chorus.
The All-Collegiate Choir, directed by Matthew Oltman, is comprised of UNL students as well as singers from the Lincoln area.
University Chorale, directed by Anne Gassmann, is a women’s vocal ensemble that performs a varied repertoire of soprano/alto literature. Through the study and performance of diverse musical expressions that represent a variety of historical and cultural perspectives, students participating in University Chorale develop the knowledge, skills, interests, values, and attitudes associated with individual and ensemble musicianship and artistry.
The University of Nebraska’s Varsity Men’s Chorus, directed by Pete Eklund, is dedicated to the service of the University, the state, its members, and to the art of music. Membership is open to any male singer enrolled in the university.
