Student composers take center stage at Wet Ink! events

Wet Ink!, a concert series spread over two nights, features never-before-heard music composed and performed entirely by students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music on April 21 and April 25, both starting at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Recital Hall.

The composers come from all sorts of backgrounds and styles, and name influences from jazz to John Williams. The premieres are presented in conjunction with Nebraska’s own talented performers from every studio, including musicians from jazz and rock. Every performance is different. Every piece is new. Every composer is present. The result: a surprising, colorful concert experience unlike any other.

The performances are free and open to the public. The performance on the 25th will also be live webcast. Visit music.unl.edu the night of the event for the direct link.
