Percussionist Dave Hall and the Chiara String Quartet (Gregory Beaver, Rebecca Fischer, Jonah Sirota, and Hyeyung Yoon) will join forces for an evening of exciting and aggressive music titled “aLIgNEd” on Friday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
Hall will perform solo percussion works including the world premiere of his newest composition “e(c)lipse(d)” and Michael Gordon’s polyrhythmic tour de force “XY.” The concert will conclude with the centerpiece for the evening, Andy Akiho’s “LIgNEouS Suite” for marimba and string quartet.
