The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Percussion Ensemble presents “Burn,” a virtuosic display of percussive pyrotechnics inspired by fire, on February 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

The concert also features many multi-media and interdisciplinary elements including video projection, electro-acoustic works, and a collaboration with Susan Levine Ourada and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dance Program. Selections include “Blue Burn” by Joseph Tompkins, “Bitsmoke” by Casey Farina, “Aura” by Anna Thorvaldsdottir, “Pillar IV” by Andy Akiho, “Torched and Wrecked” by David Skidmore, “Fratres” by Arvo Pärt, and “Pyroclastic Steam” composed by conductor and percussion professor Dr. Dave Hall.
